-Boundary‑Breaking Application | SRT Flexible Intelligent Gripping Empowers Integrated Warehousing and Distribution to Build a Digital‑Intelligent Closed Loop

From June 3 to 5, during the 2026 Guangzhou International Logistics Equipment Exhibition, the self‑patented composite specialized gripper – a core gripping unit of SRT’s cold chain solution – attracted widespread attention. This product is specifically designed for complex working conditions in depalletizing, palletizing, and unit‑load building, demonstrating the practical application value of flexible gripping capabilities in diverse warehousing and logistics scenarios.

As key nodes connecting inbound storage and order outbound, depalletizing, palletizing, and unit‑load building are critical links in establishing a digital‑intelligent closed loop of warehousing and distribution. Particularly in frozen food and prepared meal storage areas, the following common challenges persist: traditional manual depalletizing and unit‑load building require long‑term operation in low‑temperature environments, leading to recruitment difficulties and high labor risks; mixed stacking of cartons, bags, and barrels, along with common packaging deformation and pallet misalignment, results in poor adaptability of conventional rigid grippers and frequent tool changes that cause production line downtime; manual sorting is time‑consuming, causing materials to exceed cold chain temperature thresholds, which compromises product quality and hinders enterprises from achieving zero‑inventory and precise batch‑level control; coupled with high energy consumption and warehousing space costs, these multiple issues impede the digital‑intelligent transformation of warehousing.

To address the above‑mentioned cold chain pain points, SRT’s self‑patented composite specialized gripper is compatible with all types of packaging – cartons, large bags, and barrels – and can operate stably over long periods in –18°C deep‑cold conditions. In this solution, the ERP issues order information, and the WCS coordinates the robot and 3D vision to fully automate pallet dismantling. Coupled with a multi‑layer, multi‑channel circular unit‑load building station and an optimized manual picking area, the composite gripper precisely meets the diverse needs of the food industry – including multiple business formats, various product forms, transitions between raw and cooked products, and zero‑inventory, batch‑level control – while strictly managing the time products spend out of the cold chain, achieving a closed‑loop automation of sorting, packing, and unit‑load building.

The composite gripper bridges the flow gaps from warehousing inbound to order outbound at the physical execution end. Together with automated dense storage solutions, it helps cold storage facilities improve space utilization and reduce cooling loss and labor costs.

SRT focuses on the R&D and deployment of specialized grippers for complex working conditions, leveraging a multi‑spectrum product matrix to meet differentiated gripping requirements in digital‑intelligent warehousing and distribution scenarios across various industries. In such scenarios, in addition to the primary composite gripper, SRT’s various bionic dexterous end‑effectors can be deployed to cover front‑end production cartoning and in‑warehouse piece picking. The bionic dexterous end‑effector offers superior adaptability to variations in product packaging shape, dimensional tolerances, and stacking misalignment. Working with the WCS system to dynamically adjust the gripping strategy, a single end‑effector can handle the changeover between multiple product specifications, avoiding downtime caused by frequent tool changes. The bionic dexterous end‑effector complements the depalletizing/palletizing composite gripper, connecting the complete chain from production offline, through warehouse inbound and storage, to order outbound.

Currently, SRT’s intelligent flexible gripping solutions have been serving over 500 leading enterprises, including BOE, Foxconn, Yandong Microelectronics, Huamei, Mengniu, and Quanjiang. They are widely applicable to industries such as 3C electronics, semiconductors, food and fresh produce, prepared meals, central kitchens, supermarket retail, healthcare, pet supplies, daily chemical care, and hardware products. From single‑point gripping to warehousing and distribution collaboration, intelligent end effectors are becoming a key execution unit in the digital‑intelligent logistics closed loop. With stable and reliable gripping capabilities that bridge warehousing and distribution, flexible technology is truly integrated into actual business processes.

Innovative end effectors for more complex scenarios are continuously being launched, expanding the application boundaries of soft robotics technology in the logistics field. The exhibition runs until June 5.
